Check the flexibility of products against vibrations with Presto vibration table

Presto vibration table

In the realm of product transportation and delivery, ensuring the safety and integrity of packages is a paramount factor. One crucial factor that cannot be overlooked in this process is the need to protect these packages against vibrations. Vibrations can have a detrimental impact on various types of products, ranging from delicate electronics to fragile glassware or even highly sensitive scientific equipment. Thus, to conduct vibration simulation test on the materials efficiently, we at Presto has designed a high-quality lab testing instrument known as a vibration table.

This is one of the high-quality package testing instruments that is ideal for detecting the damage caused to the products when come in contact with continuous vibrations. In this blog, we will discuss a brief Presto vibration tester & how this quality testing instrument will test the integrity of packages against vibrations.

All about vibration strength testing

If you are working in the paper & packaging industry, then handling the packages against vibrations is an important aspect of quality control. By subjecting packages to rigorous vibration testing protocols, potential vulnerabilities or weaknesses within their structural integrity can be identified and rectified beforehand.

Thus, by subjecting the package to vibrations, manufacturers can easily perform vibration strength tests on the materials and ensure that accurate materials will be delivered to the customers. Manufacturers can easily test their package against vibrations with a Presto vibration table.

By subjecting packages to rigorous vibration testing protocols under controlled conditions, manufacturers can emulate real-world scenarios and ascertain whether their protective measures suffice for the arduous journey from production facility to end user.

This test will provide invaluable insights into structural weaknesses or design flaws that may compromise both aesthetics and functionality of the package. With this in mind, conducting comprehensive vibration tests ensures that packages endure unexpected jolts and tremors while preserving their form, function, and most importantly- customer contentment

Now, let us discuss a brief about the Presto vibration testing instrument.

Presto vibration testing machine for a testing package against vibration simulations

Whenever the package is ready for delivery, then it is important that the item inside the package should not get break or be damaged when transported. Due to these, the package is subjected to various vibrations and jolts of varying intensities.

It is very difficult to simulate these vibrations in totality, however, the machine is designed to simulate these conditions closely in the laboratory. The vibration test provides means to determine in advance, under standard laboratory conditions, how a filled package will fare in a given distribution system.

This test is used to assess the performance of containers only, in terms of their strength and the protection that it provides to the content when subjected to the vibrations during transportation.

It has a control panel that contains the main ON/OFF button with a connecting cable. To operate this testing instrument efficiently, you need to do a proper installation of the machine.

For this, you need to remove the wooden packing of the machine and place it on a good-grade, reinforced concrete factory floor, which is at least 6” thick, which is adequate for a rigid connection of most vibration package testing machines.

This vibration-testing instrument comes with high-quality features that make it easy for manufacturers to conduct vibration tests on the packages.

Features of Presto vibration testing machine

  • Presto® Vibration tester is rigidly fabricated from MS structure

  • The upper tabletop is suspended for vibration by bearing blocks

  • The fixed amplitude of 25.4mm is generated using a cam assembly

  • The frequency of vibration can be varied using the panel box from 2 Hz to 6 Hz

  • Presto’s Vibration table helps to create repeated vehicle movement at an amplitude of 25mm along with the frequency of 120 strokes per minute

  • The machine has an intense cast iron base along with a separate control panel for long-lasting support

  • The apparatus is incorporated with a rail on the sides of the platform to fix the sample properly

  • The size of the vibration table is 0.5m x 0.5m (Customized size on demand)
