Presto Scuff Resistance Tester – HMI rubs two surfaces of printed labels against each other i.e. face-to-face in the same plane, under a constant rubbing pressure. The test equipment is used to calculate color transfer from printed surface due to constant rubbing. To perform the test, the sample is attached to the base of the tester with the printed side up. 2 psi test weight is placed through plunger mechanism in position over the sample so that the printed sides are face to face. The tester is pre-set for the number of strokes from the HMI touch screen.
