There are also some internal strains and stress that are produced because of the inefficient manufacturing process. These are air bubbles, uneven thickness, and many more.

The other reason for establishing flaw detection system is the constant contraction and expansion occurring the glass material because of the modifying environmental conditions. When glass items are transported to overseas locations, they experience a sudden change from extremely cold region to extremely hot region, this experience might lead them to produce thermal shocks leading to damages.
