Leaks can be costly with the cost of lost product, wasted energy, and reduced production rates. The longer a leak goes undetected, the more expensive it becomes to fix or replace that component. Therefore, it is very important for you to test those wicked leaks and enhance your product quality.

We know that a small leak will cause an exponential drop in internal pressure as gas escapes from inside the package through its weakest point. Therefore, keeping a check on those vacuum leaks is of utmost importance and adds a little advantage to your product quality. To test your product with Presto Vacuum leak tester, you can follow these steps.

  • To conduct the test, start the machine by plugging it in o a 3 pin 5 amp socket and the HMI screen will turn ON.
  • Place the specimen in the testing machine by removing the lid inside the desiccator. Once you place the specimen in the desiccator then you should put the lid back.
  • After placing the lid properly, commence the test by connecting the main power to the electronic unit provided in the rare panel and also connect the vacuum pipe provided with one end of the pipe to the desiccator knob and other ends with the nozzle provided in the rare unit.
  • You can place the wire mesh and after that, place the sample in the desiccator that will cover the pack by placing the lid on to the desiccator.
  • Set the Red knob on the desiccator such that the center arrow points towards the desiccator & left arrow towards the vacuum pipe & the right arrow towards the wall of a knob.
  • After completing these settings, switch the main button on and slide your finger once on the screen. You will see six options for the main menu. Click the profile settings and enter all the details. To start with the test, click on the Start button.
  • In this way, you can easily conduct the test and get accurate testing results. If you find any leakage in the product then the tested material will spill out of the desiccator due to the presence of a vacuum. You can also conduct the test again with another sample if the tests fail.

Leak testing is a critical part of the manufacturing process. Leaks in products can cause a variety of problems, from loss of vacuum to contamination. This is why it’s important to test for leaks before the product goes into operation. Thus, the vacuum leak tester is the efficient way to perform the vacuum leak detection test. Presto Vacuum Leak Tester Model PVL - 0132 - Prima - 300 mm is one of the most useful testing instruments that are designed as per the industry standards and helps to ensure the visual check for the seal integrity of the foiled cups and PET bottles. This test can be done by providing the specimen under a specific amount of vacuum. The defined amount of vacuum is generated in the chamber to measure the integrity of the samples and to evaluate the leakage of the foiled cups which is used to ensure the intactness of the seals. It is the last stage which is performed before the process of warehousing and storage.

Vacuum leaks in your packages can cause a variety of problems. From product contamination to damage, it will lead to unsatisfied customers. We at Presto understand that the leaks can lead to catastrophic failures that destroy products and cost you time and money. When vacuum leaks occur, they can be difficult to find. This is especially true for PET bottles or containers. This is because the pressure of the system itself may mask the leak or cause it to move around so you don’t see it when performing visual inspections. Presto vacuum leak tester uses a special valve on your system that allows air in at a controlled rate through an internal leak point on the container being tested. A decrease in vacuum pressure over time indicates there is a leak somewhere within your package.

With the help of the Presto vacuum leak tester, you will be able to find those pesky leaks and improve your product quality. You can perform this test, with a variety of products including nonporous, rigid, or flexible packages. Our vacuum leak testers are designed in such a way that they will easily perform the tests and give you accurate testing results in no time. By using this testing instrument, you will be able to ensure that your product will be free from leakage and helps to maintain the seal integrity of the packages. Whether you are working in a food manufacturing industry, pharmaceuticals, PET bottle manufacturing industry, automobile, or any other industry where there is a chance of vacuum leakage in products, then you can easily use our testing instrument. We assure you that you will get accurate testing results from our reliable instrument.
