A high rise in number of PE startups expected in Russia and the CIS

According to a report by ChemOrbis, in the upcoming years, it is expected that the Russia and the CIS will see a high rise in numbers of new projects in PE industry. Starting from September this year, there will be a large number of new startups in the region with high capacities by the year 2022.

The Gas and chemical giant Uz-Kor is planning to open a Polyethylene Plant in Uzbekistan in September, 2015. The plant will have a maximum capacity of 387,000 tons per year but and will produce around 83,000 tons/year.

Along with this there are many other companies that are planning to open new PE plant in the region shortly. Gazprom Has plans to open a new PE plant in Novy Urengoy in the year 2017. The capacity of this plant is expected to be 400,000 tons per year.

There are also two plastic giants in Russia that are lining up their plans of opening two new plants in Russia that are Nizhnekamskneftekhim and Rosneft in the year 2017 and 2018 respectively with respective capacities of 600,000 tons per year and 345,000 tons per year.

Along with that, there is a long list of players who are planning to through their dice in the PE industry, which is good news for both plastic production machines as well as plastic testing instrument manufacturers in the region.
