 | Crockmeter - Hand Operated | | |
| | A Crockmeter is used for the determination of color fastness of textiles against rubbing under either dry or wet condition.
Crock Meter Motorized is an advanced version of Crockmeter, which is operated by a geared motor. It consists of the main unit having an oscillating arm with a finger, Which rubs over the test specimen under a specified load over the test specimen.
Technical Information:
Diameter of the finger : 16mm & 25mm
Downward Force on the Finger : 9 N & 22 N
Size of Crocking Cloth : 5 x 5 cm & 7 x 7cm
Counter (Digital) : 2 Digit Counter | |
| | | Crockmeter - Motorized | | |
| | The motorized crockmeter is used for testing the transference of color from the surface of one material to another by either wet or dry rubbing. In addition to color transference tests, the crockmeter performs scuffing, wet / dry abrasion, flexing, powdering, dry-cleaning, ink abrasiveness, and other tests. Test conditions are controlled and reproducible through the use of standard pressure and motion. Specimens are rubbed with dry, Standard cotton cloth (Crocking cloth) and again, if applicable, with wet cloth. The staining of the crocking cloths is assessed with a Grey Scale of ISO / BS Std. for Staining.
Equipment Details:
On the crockmeter a pre-cut crocking cloth is mounted on the rubbing finger and is held in place with a spring clip. The finger is 16 mm in diameter and rests on the specimen with a force of 9 10% N (917.43 Gms). Motion to the finger is given by a Handle , which moves very smoothly on steel movement platform. The required number of cycles are registered on a re-settable counter , which can be easily be set to zero, once the test is complete.
Technical Information:
Diameter of the Rubbing Finger : 16mm
Downward Force on the Finger : 9 N ± 10%
Size of Crocking Cloth : (5 x 5) cms.
Length of the Traverse of the Finger : 100 ± 2 mm
Counter (Re-settable) : 4-Digit Counter
Size of Test Specimen : 25 x 5 Cm
Construction : Cold-rolled steel
Finish : Metallic Blue
