Hot Wire Bottle Cutter. It is also called Section Cutter and Section Weight Cutter. Presto Hot Wire Bottle Cutter / Section Weight Cutter provides an efficient and cost-effective way to cut PET (Polyethylene teraphthalate) containers into consistently accurate sections for individual weight analysis.

PET bottle test sample of capacities 200 ml to 500 ml (largest dia =110
mm) can be precisely cut in 3 parts: bottom, cylinder and top. Each of
these parts having exact assigned weights, to comply with the quality
specification obtaining an ideal wall thinness distribution. This guarantees
the physical and mechanical quality requirement.

The product process in being controlled on a statistical basis by checking
the weight of the cut parts.

The HWBC is a simple but very effective device, it ensures that the correct proportion of the bottle is cut. It is very difficult to cut empty PET bottles and this section weight cutter helps in ensuring smooth error free cuts. The most important feature of the instrument is that there is a temperature controller variac ( available in higher models only), whereby the operator can easily control the temperature of the wires thereby controlling heat and the ease with which the wires can cut the sample.
