To test the specimen with the help of this testing machine, you need to prepare the sample first. For this, you can take at least two rigid plastic samples that you will need to test. Measure the width and thickness of each specimen with a suitable digital thickness gauge at several points. Prepare the sample of the following size: Length – 127mm, Thickness – 3mm to 13mm, and width – 13mm.

Once you prepare the sample, then you need to place the sample accurately with this testing instrument. You should take out the aluminum fixture from the apparatus and position the test specimen edgewise in the apparatus and ensure that they are properly aligned on the spacers so that the direction of the testing force is perpendicular to the direction of the molding flow. Ensure that the sample is placed on the two spacers by maintaining the center. After that, you can easily commence the test.
